“EARTH DAY” ACTIVITY REPORT … by Rosa Ibarra Rubio, Colectivo PLAYAS LIBRES, Bahía de Banderas, NAY:

Call was made for a series of COMMUNITY CLEANING ACTIONS around EARTH DAY, 22 of April 2021 in Bahía de Banderas, NAY.  

On Tuesday 20th we cleaned Tramo carretera TerraAlta, Tizate, Panteón La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, on Wednesday 21st Playa La Lancha and Punta de Burro Beach. 

On Thursdau 22nd we somewhat ran out of steam, …very few people attended in Higuera Blanca to clean Cerro del Mono.

Discouraged we returned to Bucerias to join the cleaning brigade with our friends from Heart Tile Bucerias, who volunteered with us the day before at Playa La Lancha and at la Playa Los Burros.

In Bucerias we ran into “Manos de Amor” children. 

 

When we saw them we felt a breath of HOPE, ….. and that WE were here for THEM and responsable for leaving them a better planet.🌏🌎🌍🌹💖🌳🌊🐳

The kids were a divine signal to remind us that we have to do our job.

 

Thankful for the ALWAYS loyal people who attended .

The children were happy to learn, help and have fun participating in the EARTH DAY! event.

An unforgettable day, fun for the children, thanks to MARSHALL PARKER &  Friends from BUCERIAS HEART TILE*.  Thank you, Marshall, for guiding us. Your animation encouraged us for the work to be done. Hugging a tree, we are giving them the importance they are for the earth and the life of the human being.

The children, together with all the adult volunteers, did a good job in different parts of the Municipality, on this EARTH DAY.

We will continue working together to help our planet earth. Happy Earth Day!
