Since several years, the lack of drinkable water supply in or near PUNTA de MITA, Bahía de Banderas, NAYARIT, is seriously affecting the well-being of many of those living in Corral de Risco, Emiliano Zapata and Higuera Blanca.
It therefore seems irresponsible to permit a residential housing development like the new one in Punta Mita.

Hace casi exactamente dos años que se celebró un convenio entre el alcalde y pobladores de Corral de Risco, Emiliano Zapata e Higuera Blanca.
Ahora, Jaime Cuevas, alcalde de Bahía de Banderas con licencia y en plena campaña para su reelección (PRIANRD), anuncia “con bomba y platillo” la solución del problema (1).
La pregunta de los pobladores: ¿Para quién será
el agua?
¿Para el nuevo desarrollo inmobiliario de nombre “PUNTA MIA”, atrás del campo de futbol (football) en el crucero de la Carretera Higuera Blanca a Punta de Mita?
¿O EN VERDAD PARA EL PUEBLO?

The lack of drinkable water supply in Bahía de Banderas, NAYARIT, especially in the region of PUNTA de MITA is the limitation that not only negatively impacts the quality of life of many of the inhabitants of the region, but also inhibits an orderly and sustainable development of tourism, that is the first source of income for many.
We need tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment, as well as the host communities.
The lack of drinkable water supply in Bahía de Banderas is seriously affecting the well-being of many of its inhabitants.
It seems therefore irresponsible to further promote tourism.

También, incentivar “rain water catch” para casas particulares!
